Community Events There is always something happening in Homer. - Fireman's Street Dance, The Fireman's Dance is held on Main Street in front of the
firehall. Fall Harvest
- Corn & Braut Feed, The Community Club puts on the Corn & Braut feed annually during
the Fall Harvest.
O'Connor House
- Summer Social - September, The Dakota County Historical Society has a catered dinner during their Summer Social out at the O'Connor House.

- Open House - First 2 Weekends in November with Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. &
Sundays from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Decorated for Christmas each year by the Dakota County Historical Society volunteers. This 1875 mansion was once the home of Army Captain O'Connor. The fireplace is imported from France and most of the furnishings are from overseas. Free admission and donations are greatly appreciated.
